Revolutions
A journal of random thoughts while flying Revolution-style quad-line kites. Back when the use of e-mail began to explode in the military, the Army Chief of Staff began sending out a series of messages titled "Random Thoughts While Running". My blog is not intended for such lofty use, rather as a record of my random thoughts throughout the day.

Back to Work Day
The day after a trip to Europe is a tough one. Awoke at 4:30 this morning despite a punishing 18 hours in travel status. Never slept on plane and didnt get home until 10 Pm Eastern. Got to get some exercise and sun light to get back on schedule.

Back to Germany
A weeklong trip to Deutschland ends in Munich's Marienplatz. Good food, great bier, and fond memories...

Take a close look at this photo. Note the small dark spot on my cheek just to the right of my nose. That's Melanoma - the most dangerous type of skin cancer. That small spot resulted in a silver dollar-sized hole in my cheek. I am amazed to this day that the docs could reconstruct my face as well as they did given amount of skin they had to remove to ensure the cancer will not return.
Wear sun screen!

Me
I'm posting this photo to the blog as a work around in order to get a photo of me into my profile and onto the web page itself. See if you can find the rest of the photo I cropped out for this use - you'll see why I'm smiling.
Watch Out !
Sometimes when I fly I get lost in thought. The result is often disastrous. Luckily the Rev has great brakes!

The title of this blog has nothing to do with a revolution as most would think of it. I was thinking more about what I hear in my mind when I fly my quad-line kite, known almost generically as a Revolution. I fly Revolution made kites as well the one shown here which is actually a sail of my own making finished out with a bridle and spars from Revolution. I call this kite a Rainbow Rev. Anyway...back to the roots of this blog. Flying my Rev tends to clear my mind and I often find myself following all kinds of thoughts through to their logical ( at least to me) conclusion. I hope to capture some of those thoughts here. All of that said, I've got to first figure out this blog application! I'm off to the help files...
